WE ARE LOOKING FOR OUR NEXT INDIVIDUAL OR FAMILY TO PARTNER WITH, APPLY TODAY AT 541-967-4030

TBD

We can't wait to get started on our next home.

It won't be long and we'll be swinging hammers and building another fantastic home.  Keep your tools close by we'll be underway as soon as we get our marching orders from the family selection committee.  Habitat Homes are custom built so we can't start until we know who we are building for.

We start our scheduled Saturdays at 8 a.m. and sometimes work through the afternoon until around 3 p.m., with a yummy lunch provided at midday for our Volunteers.  If you aren't able to contribute a full day to volunteering, come and join us for as long as it works for your own schedule on one of these Saturdays. The usual age requirement is 18 years and older for volunteers on site.

Re-Habitat

Many senior homeowners on fixed low incomes are in need of their neighbors help – enter Re-Habitat.

New to Albany Area Habitat for Humanity, Re-Habitat is a 2010 pilot program focused on seniors (55 and older) who own and occupy their home but do not have the financial means to make essential home repairs.

Essential home repairs such as roof repair, updated energy efficient windows, plumbing, handicap accessible issues and other issues that are dangerous to their health or safety will be the focus of Re-Habitat

This new program will work in partnership with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Volunteer Caregivers and the Albany City Police Dept. who work closely with seniors in the community.  We’ll reach out to individuals, businesses, churches and other organizations to help identify seniors in need of this service and to help fund and make the repairs.

Interested in joining us in this urgently needed program?  To find out more about this new pilot program or to volunteer to help, please contact our office at 541-967-4030.
